Warranty Policies – US Customers

Blackburn extends a warranty to the original purchaser of its product as provided below, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law. The term of the warranty begins on the date of original purchase. If the product is found to be covered under the applicable warranty provisions below, we will, at our sole discretion, either repair or replace the product free of charge. If your product is not currently available (i.e. discontinued), Blackburn may replace it with a comparable product from the current product line, at its sole discretion. This constitutes your sole and exclusive remedy, and Blackburns sole and exclusive liability, for breach of this warranty.

Blackburn reserves the right to request the return of any product submitted for warranty consideration. Canadian customers should contact our Canadian distributor, Outdoor Gear Canada at 800-363-0693. International customers should contact a local dealer or regional distributor for warranty service.

The warranty does not cover, and we will not have any liability to you for, and hereby disclaim, any and all incidental or consequential damages caused by, or arising from or relating to, the product or its use. This warranty is in lieu of all other agreements and warranties, general or specific, expressed or implied; no representative or person is authorized to assume liability on behalf of Blackburn in connection with the sale or use of this product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights depending on where you live, which vary from state to state and jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

This warranty does not apply to damage due to heat, physical damage resulting from abuse, neglect, improper repair, improper fit, improper installation, improper care, accidents, failure to follow directions, alterations, misuse or use unintended by the manufacturer. Nor does it cover minor cosmetic damages due to normal "wear and tear" of the product.

We make no other warranty regarding the products, and we disclaim all other warranties, express, statutory or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or arising from course of dealing or trade usage. Some states and jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or implied warranties, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

WARRANTY PERIOD

Limited 1-Year Warranty Period for Copilot Trailers and Child Seats.

Copilot trailers and child seats are warranted for a period of 1-year. Blackburn warrants these products to be free of defects in material and workmanship.

Limited Lifetime Warranty Period for Current Pumps, Racks, Bottle Cages, Cyclometers, Multi-Tools, Mirrors, and Trainers

Current pumps, racks, bottle cages, cyclometers, multi-tools, mirrors, and trainers are subject to a limited lifetime warranty for the lifetime of the original purchaser. Blackburn warrants these products to be free of defects in material and workmanship and against failure or malfunction during use as intended by the manufacturer.

Limited Warranty Period for Battery Or Electrically Powered Products, Product Components, and Accessories for Such Products

2-Year Warranty Provision for Certain Products, Product Components, and/or Accessories

Blackburn warrants the following products, product components, and/or accessories to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years:


  • Rechargeable batteries, battery cells, and battery components

  • Chargers

  • Circuit boards

  • Switches and dimmers

  • AC adapters

  • LEDs




Limited Lifetime Warranty Provision for Certain Product Components of Battery or Electrically Powered Products


Blackburn extends a limited lifetime warranty that the following product components of its battery or electrically powered products are free of defects in material and workmanship.


  • Housings

  • Lens

  • Mounts

  • Fasteners




ADDITIONAL WARRANTY DETAILS

This warranty extends to residents of the United States only. International customers should consult their local dealer or distributor for warranty conditions in their area. Blackburn is not able to receive or ship product outside of the United States; we cannot be responsible for products ordered from US dealers and shipped to another country. Service through the original seller may be available, if the local distributor is unable to assist.

WARRANTY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IN NORTH AMERICA

If you are unable to complete the form, you may call our Customer Service at 1-800-456-2355 for a Return Authorization(RA) number. Some issues may be resolved upon the initial communication.

Customer Service for International Customers (Including Canada)

Blackburn is happy to answer questions about product specifications for any customer outside the US, either by email or phone.

However, for warranty service and sales outside of the United States, please use the International Distributor link on this site to get direct contact information for your local Blackburn Distributor. In some cases, it may be necessary to communicate through your local dealer. Blackburn is not able to receive or ship product outside of the United States; we cannot be responsible for products ordered from US dealers and shipped to another country. Service through the original seller may be available, if the local distributor is unable to assist.

Returns & Exchanges

We recommend that items be sent by a traceable method (such as FedEx or UPS). Blackburn is not responsible for lost or misdirected packages. We will return your product or replacement using FedEx Ground shipping. Expedited shipping is not possible. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Warranty Information for Older Products

Certain products produced previously (e.g. RX trainers & the 1990s TP, MP, and FP pump series) may have varying warranty durations and conditions. Please consult your original packaging or owners manual for the warranty period and conditions, or call our Customer Service for further information.
