Terrible mounting design. I'm torn with this review. I love the light...it's super bright, and the USB charging is great.

However, almost every other light out there has a permanent mount for sliding on and off. This light comes with a cheap velco strap that breaks over time and is too long for most handle bars. I'd steer clear of this product unless you like to be frustrated a few weeks into use. Review by Danny (Posted on 1/1/2013)

Great customer service Bought the 1st Gen Flea, but it wouldn't hold a charge. Emailed Blackburn and they sent me out a replacement, the 2nd Gen Flea. That's my idea of great customer service! Review by willy (Posted on 12/24/2012)

Flea Light's ok, but the mounting is lame I thought the USB rechargable flea light was a great idea, but the mounting is not well thought out. It mounts with a simple velcro strap, but you have to unthread the strap from the light to charge it, and when you put it back on, you totally have to re-align the light. Not good design. From that aspect alone, and the lack of thought that went into the mounting, I'd suggest one of the less expensive alternatives. Review by Gort (Posted on 12/9/2012)

Battery woes With such a small form factor and so lightweight, one can't be surprised that the battery only lasts 1 hour on bright, 5hours flashing. I think I've even gotten considerably more out of it than that. However, like others, the battery won't hold a charge anymore after ~4 months. It was a slow death. First it would dim over time, now it won't stay on for more than 5 seconds in any mode after a "full charge". disappointing to say the least. I'm sure they'll replace it, but how can one have any confidence in the replacement? I guess night riding is like spelunking in that you should always carry a second light in case the first one fails. I'm lucky I didn't find this out the hard way. buyer beware! Loved it! I loved this light it worked so well for about a full year.
I usually let the battery die completely before I recharge.

Impressive little light I picked up my Flea at a local bike shop in Denver and I think it's amazing. Drivers seem to mistake the strobe setting for the lights on an emergency vehicle and react accordingly- sometimes even pulling over for me! The only downside is having to weave through such slow, cautious traffic. Review by UNI (Posted on 4/8/2012)

fun little light I bought this thinking I would be able to trail ride......not so, maybe under a full moon! I do really like it for commuting, it's bright enough and I even use it camping because I can carry it in my pocket.....overall, this is the only "flea" I'd recommend! Compact, very useful design! I have 4 of these lights! (vers. 1 & 2) I love them. Cars are extra aware of the strobe setting. I use 2 at a time during night MTB rides. I had one unit act a little funny. The bad unit would emit light after full charge in flashes (similar to recharging) while turned off and unplugged (i.e. leaked light.) I received great customer service (CS) & replacement of that one. I really like that they're USB rechargeable and very compact. I recommend it to every biker I meet. The new style velcro strap's tacky rubber strip comes off though, which renders the strap useless and can make the light slip around the handlebar. I just used an old inner tube to help. Blackburn: please revert back to original black rubber. THANKS!!! Keep up the good CS and improvements. Review by Night Rider (Posted on 1/19/2012)

A small, ok light Ok light so far. I am just not sure about the green colour that I had to buy because they were out of all other colors? Why bother making anything else than black? Did Henry Ford not teach you anything? Review by Joe (Posted on 12/13/2011)

great but low build quality Small and great as safety light... not as a primary headlight. Its build quality is pretty disappointing though since I already bought 2 of these and both of them cannot be charged (tried it so many times) after their battery died Review by k2 (Posted on 11/20/2011)

Very happy with this light Great light! very lightweight, very bright and great battery life. I have been using this light for several years (I had the previous version before). I would recommend this light highly. The new usb charge method is a great idea and it is very convenient. note: the battery is not replaceable so be careful not to store it with the battery drained or it will not recharge. Qualified great Great light, light weight, great concept. The only problem is that after only 3 months, either the battery is tanking or the USB fob no longer works well. Seeking warranty replacement. Review by Paul (Posted on 10/26/2011)

Great light but I need more power! Awesome light, easy to switch between bikes, weighs almost nothing, what could be wrong? Oh yeah, battery life tanked after about 3 months of use. Now I get 0.5 hrs on flash mode. Warranty replacement is in the mail though so we'll see how the next one does. Great customer service. Review by aaron (Posted on 10/21/2011)
